On the night intervening 25/26.7.2006, some unknown persons entered the house of Roshan Lal s/o Bir Chand r/o H.No.206, Gali No.2, Kundan Nagar town & PS City Ferozepur and murdered him with sharp edged weapon. Case FIR No.129 u/s 302/34 IPC PS City Ferozepur dated 26.7.06 has been registered in this regard.

BATHINDA DISTRICT

On the night intervening 24/25.7.2006, some unknown persons stole gold ornaments and cash total of worth Rs.1 lac. from the house of Ashok Kumar s/o Sham Lal r/o Ganesha Basti town & PS Kotwali Bathinda. Case FIR No.403, u/s 457/380 IPC, PS Kotwali Bathinda, dated 25.7.2006 has been registered in this regard.

PATIALA DISTRICT

On 25.7.2006, Kuldeep and some other boys attacked and injured Dr. Daljitinder Singh Brar, Principal, Govt. Mahindera College Patiala, with the intention to kill him. Case FIR No.336, u/s 307/323/324/186/353/506/148/149 IPC, PS Kotwali Patiala, dated 25.7.2006 has been registered in this regard.

On 25.7.2006, Moti and two of his associates all r/o Dalampur PS Sdr. Patiala raped Lado w/o Chamkaur Singh r/o Partap Ganj Tara Chand Wala PS Sdr. Patiala. Case FIR No.447, u/s 376/354 IPC, PS Sdr. Patiala, dated 25.7.2006 has been registered in this regard.

MANSA DISTRICT

On 25.7.2006, Bhola Singh s/o Bikkar Singh and five of his associates all r/o Ghurkani murdered Rakesh Singh s/o Darbara Singh r/o the same place, near village Korwala PS Jhunir. Case FIR No. 83 u/s 302/148/149 IPC, 25/27/54/59 A.Act. PS Jhunir dated 25.7.06 has been registered in this regard.

TARN TARAN DISTRICT

On the night intervening 24/25.7.2006, Nishan Singh s/o Baldev Singh r/o Gagrewal PS Verowal and one of his associate raped Sandip Kaur (18 years) d/o Bacittar Singh r/o the same place. Case FIR No. 82 u/s 376/506 IPC PS Verowal dated 26.7.06 has been registered in this regard.

MAJITHA DISTRICT

On 26.7.2006 at about 8.40 AM, BSF Patrolling Party of 77^th Bn. arrested Jahagir Hussan s/o Dilmulkikh Hussan r/o Dirgirichar PS Daolal Rav District Kostie (Bangladesh), when he was trying to cross Indo-Pak border from India side to Pakistan side near Bahad Rakba BSF Post New Sondergarh PS Ajnala. Case FIR No. 102 u/s 3,34,20 Indian Passport Act, 14 F Act. PS Ajnala dated 26.7.06 has been registered in this regard.

LUDHIANA DISTRICT

On 25.7.2006 at about 8.30 PM, Paramjit Kaur w/o Labh Singh r/o Mohalla Har Gobind Pura town & PS Div.No.7, committed suicide due to harassment by her husband Labh Singh for dowry. Case FIR No.131, u/s 306 IPC, PS Div. No. 7, dated 26.7.2006 has been registered in this regard.

On 26.7.2006 at about 8.10 PM, Police Party of PS Div. No. 7 arrested five dacoits namely; Sita Ram s/o Harbans Singh r/o Jagatpura district Canur Tabuna (Bihar), Sher Mohd. s/o Habib Mohd. r/o Jharha colony District Beta (UP), Jangali Kumar s/o Naresh Shah r/o Nath Nagar District Bhabaipur (Bihar), Rattan Singh s/o Dharam Singh r/o Kharbal District Tihri Garwal (Uttranchal ) and Kamlesh Kumar s/o Ram Nath r/o Khurzan District Baxer (Bihar) now all r/o Indra Puri Tajpur Road town & PS Div. No.7. Ludhiana, when they were planning to commit robbery/dacoity, in the area of Sector 32 town & PS Div. No. 7 Ludiana. one 12 bore country made pistol with two live cartridges, two 303 country made pistols with four live cartridges, two Diggers and two rods were recovered from their possession. Case FIR No. 132 u/s 399/402 IPC PS Div. No. 7, 25/54/59 A.Act. dated 26.7.06 has been registered in this regard.

On 27.2.2006, Laxman Mishra s/o Ranji Mishra alongwith two of his associates all r/o Durga Puri Colony Dhandari Kalan PS Focal Point Ludhiana kidnapped Chandan (8 & half year old) s/o Satinder Singh r/o the same place. On 26.7.2006, Police party arrested all the accused and recovered the child from their possession. Case FIR No.154, u/s 363/365/368 IPC, PS Focal Point Ludhiana, dated 26.7.2006 has been registered in this regard.

JALANDHAR DISTRICT

On 1.7.2006, Chamkila s/o Moti Lal r/o Nijjara Ps Lambara kidnapped Usha d/o Balwan r/o #108 town & PS Div. No. 7 Jalandhar. Case FIR No. 98 u/s 363/366 PS Div. No. 7 dated 26.7.06 has been registered in this regard.

On 26.7.06 at about 3.30 PM, three unknown persons snatched gold ear rings from Udham Kaur w/o Dass Ram r/o Dhadde PS Goraya. Case FIR No. 98 u/s 382/34 IPC PS Goraya dated 26.7.06 has been registered in this regard.

BATALA DISTRICT

On 26.7.2006, Dalbir Singh s/o sardara Singh r/o Natt town & PS Rangar Nangal tried to kill his wife Kamaljit Kaur by burning. Case FIR No. 131 u/s 307 IPC PS Rangar Nangal dated 26.7.06 has been registered in this regard.

On 26.7.2006, Police party of PS Ghuman arrested Jasbir Singh @ Babu s/o Lakha Singh r/o Harpura town & PS Ghuman and Moti Pal s/o Prem Singh r/o Murgi Mohalla Batala. One .303 bore country made pistol with one live cartridge and one .32 bore revolver with 3 live cartridges were recovered from their possession. Case FIR No. 127 & 128 u/s 25/54/59 A.Act. PS Ghuman dated 26.7.06 has been registered in this regard.

HOSHIARPUR DISTRICT

On 26.7.2006 at about 10.45 PM, some unknown persons murdered Satnam Singh r/o Nainowal Vaid PS Bullowal, at his tailoring shop at Adda Saran PS Tanda. Case FIR No.162, u/s 302 IPC, PS Tanda, dated 27.7.2006 has been registered in this regard.
